Stars of Boulevard was formed in the summer of 2008 by members of three now-defunct Vancouver bands.

They won Fox Seeds' 2010 battle-of-the-bands Platinum Award. Winners of previous years include Nickelback, Bif Naked and other bands that have since made names for themselves. (CFOX is at 99.3 FM in the Greater Vancouver area and online at www.cfox.com) The Fox Rocks!

As one of five music industry heavyweight judges of the final round of the Fox Seeds battle, the President of The Agency Group *Toronto, Ralph James, said, following their show, "They're the real deal", and he is now the band's Canadian Agent.

One prize given to them as Fox Seeds 2010 winners was a year's lease on a Mazda CX9. A sleek SUV. In December of 2010 they drove it to Los Angeles where they worked and recorded with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Saliva). They drove it around western Canada on tours with Danko Jones, Electric Six, and then in the summer of 2011 for over two months they drove it around North America, playing most of the Canadian shows portion in Ontario before connecting with Buckcherry for 11 shows starting at the glorious House of Blues in Chicago. The final show of the two month tour was at the Surf Ballroom in Clearlake Iowa, which, eerily, was the very final venue played by Richie Valens, Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper before they boarded their doomed flight out of Clearlake, a day which was famously named "The day the music died" by Don McLean in his song "American Pie."

They've opened shows for Papa Roach, Steel Panther, Sam Roberts Band, Bedouin Soundclash, the Headstones, toured with Buckcherry (10 shows in the USA and 1 in Windsor, Canada), Danko Jones, Electric Six and State of Shock.

After meeting John Reese (creator of Uproar Festival and Mayhem Festival) in Auburn, Washington, backstage at Uproar Festival in October 2011, John introduced the band to cinematographer Strati Hovartos and encouraged the band to make a music video with him, suggesting that a good video placed online would help the band reach more people. On Dec 7 2011 the band reached into their bank account and flew down to Strati's place in Los Angeles, and shot a video for their song "Run Away With Me" with Strati and his partner on the project Machette Bang Bang. Strati and Machette created the video's concept, found the location, cast the actresses, directed it, filmed it and all of that stuff. The video should be online in mid-January, 2012.
